February 19th, Monday

During English class , we watched the film called “Dead Poet Society”. We are picking up quotes and film techniques and analyzing and making a graph. In business class, we learned about superannuation. For the fifth period, we went to teach Japanese to the year 6 students. We enjoyed practicing introductions and greetings.

February 20th, Tuesday

Today I enjoyed learning about concentration in sports science. To test our concentration, I paired up with my buddy and tried the game called “1-100”. There is a time called “morning tea” and I ate meat pies and a slice of red bell pepper. We usually have this time when the second period finishes. I wish I had this in my school.

February 21st, Wednesday

In Japanese class, we compared St.Hilda's and our school uniform. The biggest difference was that they wore a jumper skirt and some students had their navy ribbon tied. My last subject for today was business and it is my favorite subject. We calculated the pension including their income and when they want to retire.

February 22nd, Thursday

Today I had sports science for the first period. We are playing volleyball and practicing spiking. At the end, we played a game and my buddy was so good at it! For lunch, I had a sandwich with tomato, cheese and ham. It is so delicious and I’m repeating this everyday! At science, we worked on an assignment related to genetic editing.

February 23rd, Friday

Today we went to teach Japanese to the year 6 students. We played a game throwing a ball to someone saying any word in Japanese. Our teacher asked us to answer Australian animals. Some of the students gave us some hints and I had a wonderful time. Also we joined the art class in year 3. We helped the students make their figure using a newspaper. When we got back to our boarding house, we had our friend's birthday party!! Her buddy and other boarders celebrated her in surprise and ate a delicious cheesecake. We prepared balloons and snacks and had a party.

February 24th, Saturday

Today we went to the Australian fair. It is so near that we can walk there. We looked around the shops and bought some souvenirs. Also, we went to the cafe and drank matcha-latte and tea-latte. Chips and jumpy’s are our favorite and we often eat them after school.

February 25th, Sunday

Today we went to a theme park called “Movie World”. We were so excited to go when we passed through on the first day. My friend’s mom came to pick us up at the front of the school. The first ride that we had was the “Green Lantern”. There was a turn and a sudden drop and it was so fun. I was on the edge and it felt like I was falling. My friends and I went to eat ice cream while the others went on the Joker, the scariest ride. We bought some fries and popcorn for lunch. My friend played a game scooping a duck and won a doll. She gave me the doll and it was so pretty. When we got back, we went to the pacific fair by tram. It took about 25 minutes to get there and we met our friend on the tram with her brother’s friend. Pacific fair was a huge department store and had groceries, clothes and miscellaneous goods. After that, we moved to the place called “Surfers paradise” and bought souvenirs. I bought some magnets and a t-shirt for my friends. We were so tired on that day and had a rest until dinner at our boarding house.
