7月18日に行われた Junior Achievement International Trade Challenge (ITC) 2021の国内予選 に11AのRinto君とMasataka君が出場しました。結果は、残念ながら国際大会推薦とはなりませんでしたが、果敢に健闘しました。
Two students, Rinto and Masataka, presented at the Junior Achievement International Trade Challenge (ITC) 2021 on July 18th. Unfortunately, they were not selected for international convention nominations. However, they boldly challenged with their best presentation.
プレゼンテーションは、福岡の伝統工芸品である「久留米絣」を使ったビジネスプランを提案しました。2人を代表してRinto君の大会に参加した感想を載せます。
The presentation proposed a business plan using "Kurume Kasuri", which is a traditional fabric of Fukuoka. The following sentence is Rinto's impression.
1. What was the hard part in preparing for the contest?
→ Not everything was easy, but especially, scheduling and researching were difficult. In order to prepare and practice my presentation, I had to shift my schedule if I had lessons, and even if I just had an idea, I had to think about whether the idea was feasible and do detailed research on the local country.
2. What was your impression of ITC 2021?
→ The first workshop I attended had nearly a hundred participants, and I remember being bewildered when I was paired up with someone I had never met before that day. I was also very surprised to see all the participants had very high English skills.
At the domestic competition, I was amazed not only by their English skills, but also by their teamwork, the clarity of their slides, and their business plans and ideas.
All the groups had unique ideas and detailed research calculations, and they were able to answer questions with confidence in the Q&A sessions.
3.What did you learn from this challenge?
I learned a lot through this ITC2021.
I learned not only how to write a proper email and how hard it is to start a business, but also how important it is to learn more about the local area and think about the people who live there, and what is important in order to make a business plan and get investors to invest.
4. How will you make use of this experience in the future?
→ Every time I do business in the future, I would like to make use of the experience I gained from this conference.
