High Contrast Stencil
Inspired by the screen prints of Andy Warhol, Grade 4 explored the concept of “Ma”, the emptiness of space. In these stencil prints, the empty space of the paper is just as important as the “positive” space filled by the paint.
First, students took a high contrast black and white photo of themselves and cut out all the black areas. Once the stencil was made, they stamped paint over it, leaving an image on the paper below.

　4年生はアートの時間にマット先生と、アンディ・ウォーホルのスクリーンプリントから発想を得て、空間【間】を大切にして作品に取り組みました。このステンシルプリントでは、実際に線や色で表現されている部分と同じように、何もない空間も大切にされています。
　はじめに児童は、白黒写真を撮り、黒い部分を切り取りました。その後、インクをつけて、紙の上にプリントしました。
