In Moral Education, everyone in the whole school watched and learnt how glaze was made by Mr Kozuru at Linden Farm. We burn straws, soak ash in water, get rid of lye, and mix with a certain rock. In traditional Japanese culture, people didn't waste anything. At Linden Hall, after harvesting rice, we use the straws for sweet potato party, making glaze, pounding rice festival, and making new year decoration.

今日の道徳の時間、高鶴先生に、釉薬の作り方を教わりました。藁を焼き、残った灰を水につけて、灰汁を取り除き、特定の石と混ぜて白い釉薬を作ることを学びました。日本の伝統文化においては、人々は様々な物を無駄にせずに有効に使いました。リンデンホールでは、稲刈り後に、焼き芋パーティ、釉薬づくり、餅つき大会、しめ縄作りを行い、リンデンファームの田んぼの全ての藁を使いきります。
