At Linden Hall, we have "Linden Family" system. Each Linden Family has 1 or 2 students from the same grade level and one Linden Family consists of about 10 students. The aim of having Linden Family is that students communicate and build good relationship among different year groups. We are hoping the students have peaceful and comfortable environment where they feel like they are their family. On this day, older students read some English books to younger friends and it was a wonderful opportunity for them to get to know each other and spend time with different age friends.

リンデンホールスクールには、縦割りグループの「リンデンファミリー」があります。それぞれのリンデンファミリーに、1人か2人同じ学年の友達がいて、１つのファミリーには10人くらいの児童がいます。リンデンファミリーの目的は、異なった年齢の友達とコミュニケーションを図ったり、いい関係を築くことで、クラス以外の場所にも家族のような存在があり、子供たちに安心できる場所をつくってほしいと願っています。この日は、高学年の児童が年下の児童達に英語の本を読んであげました。年齢が異なった友達同士がお互いを知ることができ、一緒に過ごせた貴重な時間になりました。
