1年生は10月に稲刈りを行いました。リンデンファームに集合し、1人1人が鎌で稲を刈り、脱穀機で脱穀を行いました。残った藁は、陶芸で使われる釉薬や、しめ縄として活用され、無駄にせず、全て使い切ります。リンデンホールでは、道徳のカリキュラムの中で、田植え→稲刈り→陶芸(釉薬を使って茶器を作る）→茶道（自分で作った茶器で学ぶ）と進んでいきます。様々な体験を通して日本の伝統文化を学んでいきます。In October, Grade 1 students harvested rice at Linden Farm. They all gathered there, cut rice with a sickle, and threshed rice with a thresher. All the straw will be used as glaze for tea bowls and decoration of a sacred straw rope. Nothing will be wasted in our Linden Farm. In Moral Education curriculum, students do rice planting, rice harvesting, they use the leftover straw to create glaze to make tea bowls in Pottery, they use their own tea bowls in tea ceremony. Through many experiences, students learn Japanese tradition and culture.
