At our school, the special teacher who teaches the art of tea ceremony, Mr. Nakasone, is from the Mushanokōji Senke family line. On this day, the sixth graders learned valuable lessons about Japanese culture, including the story behind the chrysanthemum flowers displayed in the tea room and the tradition of the Chōyō Festival. They then enjoyed a charming peach‑colored chrysanthemum‑shaped wagashi along with a bowl of matcha they whisked themselves.

仲宗根先生（武者小路千家家元）が、本校で特別講師として茶道の指導をして下さっています。 この日、6年生は、茶室に飾られた菊の花のお話や、重陽の節句についてなど、日本文化に関する貴重なお話を伺いました。 その後、桃色の可愛らしい菊の花をかたどった和菓子と、自分たちで点てた抹茶をいただきました。
